About PriceTuneup

PriceTuneup is built by Modern Code Consulting, a consultancy run by Matt Cruz that has worked with home-service contractors — HVAC companies in particular — on their websites, reporting, and operations for years.

The idea came from watching a real HVAC client wrestle with the same problem every season: the flat-rate price book in Housecall Pro was built once, parts costs kept climbing, and repricing hundreds of line items by hand never made it to the top of the list. The result was a business quietly working for less margin every year.

The big flat-rate platforms solve this for $99–$400 a month and weeks of onboarding, aimed at shops with office staff. PriceTuneupis the version for the owner-operator: upload your export, set three numbers, import the fixed book. That’s it.
